UTM Link Builder

Tag a link so your analytics can tell you where the visitor came from. Fill it in, copy the result, paste it into your newsletter or post.

Nothing is uploaded. This builder runs entirely in your browser — switch the internet off and it still works. Your links and saved campaigns never leave this device.

Your link

The page you want people to land on. We keep any tags already on it, and never touch the part after a #.
Where the click comes from — e.g. newsletter, linkedin, google.
The type of channel. Pick from the list where you can — sticking to the same words is what keeps your reports readable.
The specific push this link belongs to — e.g. spring-launch, black-friday.
Only for paid search — the keyword you bought. Leave it blank for anything else.
Tells apart two links in the same send — e.g. header-cta vs footer-link.

Tidy-up & safety

How to clean the values — analytics treats LinkedIn and linkedin as two different sources, so keeping one style stops your data splitting in two.

Good to know: UTM tags are for links you post somewhere else — a LinkedIn post, a newsletter, an ad. Tagging a link to your site from LinkedIn is exactly right; that's the whole point. What to avoid is tagging links between your own pages (say, your homepage to a product page) — that makes your own site show up in your analytics as an outside visitor.

Your saved campaigns

Want your list as a Word document? Download it as Markdown, then open it in our free Markdown → Word tool.

Your saved campaigns and the values you type are kept in this browser only — never sent anywhere — so the tool can suggest them next time and hold your list between visits. Use the backup buttons above to keep a copy or move it to another device.
